Part-Time Volunteer Coordinator
IN-SIGHT has an anticipated opening for a part-time volunteer coordinator in our radio reading service program. IN-SIGHT Radio is a full digital radio station that broadcasts on a closed signal to print disabled Rhode Islanders. Broadcasting seven days per week the content includes local newspapers, books, magazines, and other printed materials of interest.
The successful candidate will manage a corps of 85 volunteer readers, work to recruit and train new volunteers, help manage the radio equipment, deliver IN-SIGHT radio receivers to people in the community, and possibly develop and host a weekly interview show.
The position is 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 2PM - 6PM. However the successful candidate must have the flexibility to work additional hours as needed to cover for the full-time program director.

Orientation and Mobility Specialist
IN-SIGHT is seeking a certified orientation and mobility specialist to work as part of the agency's new Vision Rehabilitation Team. The orientation and mobility specialist will work as part of a coordinated team of professionals to inspire the confidence, build the skills, and empower adults who are blind or visually impaired to be more independent. Specific duties include teaching sighted guide technique, protective techniques, cane skills, and safe travel concepts. Most instruction will be 1:1 with adults in IN-SIGHT's vision rehabilitation program.
Postion requires a Bachelor's Degree as well as certification in O&M instruction.
Depending on the candidate, this position could be full or part time. A full time position would include a salary of $38,000 - $45,000, health and dental benefits, 401k plan, life insurance, and up to 30 days of paid time off (vacation, personal, and sick time) plus major holidays.
