How to Help

Your donation to INSIGHT makes a big difference in our efforts to help people who are blind and visually impaired to live more independent and productive lives.  Your donation, no matter the size, helps to underwrite the costs of our programs and services allowing people to access them at little to no cost.

Volunteering

All quality non-profit organizations need community resources to help them achieve their goals. At INSIGHT, volunteers are not only welcomed and appreciated, but are an integral part of our operation.  We are currently seeking volunteers for the following areas: 

Radio Readers

Each day volunteers in our closed ciruit radio reading service read local and national newspapers, magazines, and books for people who are print disabled.  We are looking for readers to fill the following shifts:

Mondays (8:15AM - 9AM)  Reading the obituaties from the Providence Journal.  The obituaries are read live starting at 8:30AM and typically take between 20 - 30 minutes to read.

Drivers

Transportation assistance is one of the most needed volunteer services.  Volunteers with a valid driver’s license are needed to drive clients to our monthly socials.
